If you’re looking for a fun family friendly activity for a Friday night, call your friends, gather the family and jump on your bicycles and head to downtown Woodland for Movies on Main Street. On Friday night, October 11, starting at 6 PM, the city of Woodland is hosting a giant block party for the entire community. Though it may be called Movies on Main Street, this party will offer plenty of events for everyone.

Main will be closed from First to Third Streets. A movie screen will be set up on Second Street, but people will be able to see the movie on Main. The city encourages would-be attendees to bring low-backed chairs or blankets to sit on for viewing the movie. Disney’s “Cars” will be shown starting at sundown.

From 6 PM until the movie starts, you’ll be able to take part in an abundance of activities in the Heritage Plaza or on Main. The list of activities includes a bounce house, children’s crafts, and tricycle races. Listen to live music as Highway 16 Band performs. Check out vintage cars, and take pictures of them along Main Street.

Downtown businesses on Main Street will be open the night of the block party, and you’ll be able to purchase drinks and snacks on the street.

To cap off the playful activities before the movie, the Historic Woodland Downtown Business Association will award prizes for some of the activities.
