Get Coverage That Works For You

We work with you to determine hive locations across the US using a USDA grid system. We then analyze the rainfall data in each of those grids. Rainfall can be insured from 70%-90% of the average for that grid. Your policy is subsidized based on the percentage of average rainfall you elect to use. This is your policy, it needs to work for YOU.

Words from Your Peers

Making a living in an industry that is completely dependent on weather, we knew we needed to find someone to help us manage our risk. Choosing to work with Stephanie and WSR has been one of the finest business decisions Stayer’s Quality Queens has made. Stephanie and her team have streamlined the process of providing Crop Insurance and made it easy to understand. Their knowledge and passion for the beekeeping industry has provided us with financial stability, through this program and industry donations, in an everchanging climate.

We are very pleased with our decision to acquire the Lack of Rainfall Insurance Program through WSR Insurance Services. The Team at WSR was instrumental in helping us navigate through the program. It is comforting knowing we have hedged ourselves against unprecedented weather conditions.

After one year working with Shayne and WSR on my Lack of Rainfall Insurance, I have a much clearer understanding of the program. One of the things I appreciate most about WSR, is their diligent attention to detail and the time they put in scrutinizing every grid and interval of my policy. My bees never leave the state of Georgia, so I don’t have the migratory advantage most beekeepers do when it comes to this program. Shayne has written my policy to put me in a position where I am appropriately managing the weather-related risk involved with my business, without adding unnecessary risk with my insurance.

Although I have only been with WSR for two years, I have been super impressed with Shayne Myers Lafrentz and her knowledge and expertise regarding this program. Her ability to write us the best policy possible has helped our business manage risk and avoid the detrimental loss that comes with a lack of rainfall. Another thing I love about WSR is their Weekly Weather Updates. They really help me to plan for the week based off of our predicted weather forecasts.

“WSR’s support of PAm means that we can fund more important honey bee research and plant more forage to support pollinators where they need it the most.  Thank you for your support!” – Danielle Downey, Executive Director, Project Apis m.
